INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

VADIS SET UP INSTRUCTIONS

Activation code DMQKF-RXTBV-FD98H-462TB-TC9FG. May not be needed.

Reboot computer and set date to June 2004(2005A) or March 2003 (2003F). The Vadis program has an expiry date, so resetting the computers date before using Vadis places the machine before this expiry date.

Scan dvd before hand so you know it is virus free. Shutdown virus software.

If autostart does not work browse dvd and run dos batch file SETUP.BAT

Pick customised setup and select all components. Than press next.

Install will now start. This takes quite a while so please be patient.

Restart machine.

Remember to reset date. Now run Vadis.

User is sysadm

Password is NQZ5-XC3E-P8HD-A2SU

Next click system configuration which allows you to create your own user name and password

Enter your own user name and password.

Select all information and international misc in partner group

Press CREATE NEW USER and then click ok.

Log back into Vadis using your own user name and password.

Press information manager and enter your cars vin number. Car can be selected by model number, engine etc but vin number is far quicker.

Then select right or left hand drive. Then body style. S.R is sunroof.

Some options try to talk to the car, so unless you have the correct tool these options will not work.

Trouble shoot

Q: Where is the user name and password.

A: In the Vadis set up instructions.rtf on the dvd and above

Q: My virus scanner warns of a malicious script

A: Turn off your Anti Virus, this is NOT a malicious script

Q: I get error code umb0008 cannot access the security database

A: Press system configuration not user configuration when entering admin password

The password must be entered with dashs

Date was set to June 2004 through out installation and running program

Over 4gbs of free space on c drive before installing vadis

C/info folder has 3 folders in it vv126526, vv126527 and vvindex. Total size on hard disc for all three 3.44gb

The info folder on the dvd should also have three folders and be the same size

Copying all the info folders manually onto the hard drive after installing vadis

Have you tried removing all of vadis via add/remove programs. Removing the c/info folder manually. Then reinstalling the complete dvd. While installing the data it should list the three folders mentioned above with no warning signs besides them and as each is finished its ticked.

Copy the contents of the entire DVD to a separate directory and install from there

If you get eg this series of errors when starting installation

after putting DVD into player:

[DVD-drive]:\Scripts\IE60Xml\IE60Xml.vbs

Line: 13

Char:1

Error: ActiveX component canīt create object:

'Scripting.FileSystemObject'

Code: 800A01AD

Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error

this follows:

Can not install UserGuide. There is no cdinfo.txt found!

and after that you should cancel whole installation

process or you get this error:

Windows Script Host

Line: 10

Char:1

Error: Could not locate automation class names

'Scripting.FileSystemObject'

Source: Wscript.CreateObject

Somehow WindowsXP SP2 disables these DLLs from computer

and only thing to do to fix the problem is:

1) Open command prompt

2) Go to C:\Windows\System32 diretory

3) Run command: regsvr32 scrrun.dll

4) Popup message should say that registerin was completed succesfully

What is this file?

Scrrun.dll belongs to operating system and this scripting

error is well know by programmers nowadays.

DLL File: scrrun or scrrun.dll

DLL Name: Microsoft Script Runtime
